      SUMMER REC 2023

Full Program: Monday - Friday, July 5- Aug 11, 2023. 8am-4pm

5 Day Pass: The 5 Day Passes can be used for any days you want from July 5- Aug 11, 2023 and anytime between 8am-4pm. We created them to allow for time and financial flexibility. Think of each of the passes as a bundle of single dates. We don't require set days each week or that all days are scheduled at purchase. We do require 48hrs (business days) notice, via email, of the dates you want to use. You will  receive a paper punch Pass at your first Check in, then with each additional purchase. You CAN purchase Passes onsite during Check-in with cash or check made out to Townsend Recreation. 5 Day Passes are available for purchase throughout the summer. During week 5 we sell single days for the last week only, as the program isn't a full 30 days.  *Example - you purchase 1 Pass: you send your child Monday for week 1, then Tue, Wed, Fri for week 2, skip week 3 , then send them on Monday again for week 4. You're on vacation week 5 but you want to send your child on Thur & Fri of week 6, so you go online during week 5 and purchase 2 individual days using the General Payment option.  see attached file: "5 Day Pass Calculator"  .

CIT (Counselor in Training): Monday- Friday, July 17- July 28, 2023. 830am-330pm *CIT participants must attend every day of the training to receive a certificate. Additional Volunteer hours are available after completion. Townsend Recreation Summer Rec Counselor paid positions are open to anyone who wants to put in an application and meets the position requirements. When we interview for those positions we take into account all relevant experience, including CIT program completion, but we do not guarantee completion of CIT training will automatically get them a job with Summer Rec when they apply. The counselor positions are typically filled in the spring for the upcoming summer.

☆☆Drop off and pick up are on the Turnpike (playground) side of Spaulding school for the first 5 weeks of Rec.

Drop off starts at 8am. Please park your car and bring your child to the check in table inside the fence. You will receive your 5 Day Passes at check-in and you must bring your Pass to check-in to be punched each time you bring your child to Rec.

Pick up is at 4pm, same side of Spaulding, in the semi-circle. HOWEVER, we ask that you stay in your car for pick up. A staff will bring the sign out sheet to you and dismiss your child to your vehicle. 

☆☆☆Drop off and pick up are in the back (gym) side of Hawthorne Brook Middle school for the last week of Rec.

Drop off starts at 8am. Please park your car and bring your child to the check in table by the gym doors. You will receive any purchased 5 Day Passes at check-in and you must bring your Pass to check-in to be punched each time you bring your child to Rec.

Pick up is at 4pm, also in the back of HBMS. We ask that you pull in to the top parking lot and curve around to the bottom lot at the gym. Stay in your car for pick up. A staff will bring the sign out sheet to you and dismiss your child to your vehicle. 

◇If someone other than you will be picking up your child, please either fill out a Pick up Form from the website OR bring us a note at check-in.

◇If you are picking up your child at an earlier time than 4pm, please enter that time on the Sign in sheet under pick up time.

EXTENDED DAY: 4-6pm, is held at The Rec Center 274 Main St, Townsend MA 01469 ( children are walked from Spaulding/ Hawthorne)

*July 5- August 10, 2023 (no extended day Aug 11)  *Day ends promptly at 6pm, no late pick up  *Space is limited, Minimum participants: 7, Maximum participants: 16 * Dates must be submitted via email,1 week prior to use  *Participant must be registered for Full Summer, or 5 Day Pass with the Townsend Summer Rec Program *All Rec waivers are in effect for Extended Day.

Extended Day 5 Day Pass: $75

Extended Day Daily: $17/daily
