Cemetery & Parks Meeting

The meeting was opened at 6:02 PM present were, Brian Sanford, Tubby Boucher, John Barrett, Roger Rapoza and Pam Haman.
Appointments/Interviews:
The Commissioners interviewed three candidates for the position of Internment Grounds Keeping:
Riley Johnson
Michael Murray
Robert Sigmon
Robert Sigmon currently has a part time job but is still able to work a few days a week. He does have driver’s license. Commissioners explained the job as being grounds keeping, funerals and need to be flexible.
Michael Murray is a student at HBMS. He will be getting his work permit. Even though not able to use a riding mower there us still plenty he can do.
Riley Johnson attends NVTHS majoring in plumbing.
All three candidates understand job is working out side in various weather conditions, schedule is flexible. All 3 can start immediately. John move to approve all three candidates and forward the names/applications to the BOS. Tubby second all were in favor motion carried.
Gazebo: A discussion was held on the overall condition of the gazebo. The Commissioners reviewed both the lead paint report as well as the report from the architect. Pam will have copies off photos as reports for tomorrow’s meeting with the BOS and FOB. The back addition is a major concern. Perhaps replace with something that will complement the gazebo. The Commissioners felt that before any plans can go forward a structural engineer needs to be gotten for the project.
Tubby made a motion that John be the spokesperson at the meeting with the BOS and FOB on 5/11/22. Brian second all were in favor motion carried.
The Commissioners would like to restore railing and grill work but realize some may need to be replaced.
John moved the Commissioners want to see the bandstand restored/persevered and look at options for the back porch. Tubby second all were in favor motion carried.
Next meeting 5/11/2022 at Town Hall with BOS and FOB
