Cemetery & Parks Meeting
July 12, 2022

The meeting was opened at 6:0PM present were John Barrett, Tubby Boucher, Roger Rapoza, Pam Haman and members of the FOB, Bill martin, Eino Kauppi, Jerrilyn Bozicas and Clare Kauppi
Appointments: Robert Therrien
Robert Therrien has offered his services pro-bono as an architect for the bandstand restoration project. He presented the group with a Service Agreement to review; he will also complete the ethics disclosure form since he is a member of the planning board.
He would like some acknowledgement in memory of his family and the contributions to the town.
He feels the Bandstand is structural sound, keep architectural style.
He is familiar with the state bid process, prevailing wage laws and other state regulations. He would be preparing the bid specs, hold bidders conference and review all bids to be sure that they meet the necessary criteria. He would recommend practical solutions for the restoration process. He also has ideas/recommendations for increasing area for the band such as adding space along the sides ( wings).Bob would comply with any lead paint removal as well as ADA compliance as needed. Electrical work would probably be involved as well.
Claire Kauppi a member of the FOB and the HDC reminded the group that the foot print of the gazebo can’t be changed.
Jerri Bozicas wanted everyone to remember and make Bob Therrien aware that there two groups involved in the gazebo process. The Cemetery & Parks Dept as well as they Friends of the Bandstand.
The Commissioners thanked Bob Therrien for his generous offer and will get back to him.
Minutes for the 5/11/22, 5/18/22 and 5/25/22 meetings were reviewed and approved.
The next meeting is scheduled for July 26, 2022
The meeting adjourned at 12PM.
